WAYFINDING SYSTEMS
An effective wayfinding system functions by directing, informing and regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic throughout buildings and grounds. Such a system promotes efficiency, projects a positive image, and reassures users in an unfamiliar environment. We work in a thoughtful way trying to see the perspective form the user’s point of view. We design and locate signs based on the first time user experience to insure that a clear understanding of the building layout permits a successful navigation of the premises.
What we do:
Develop a thorough analysis and propose a strategy for wayfinding. |
Evaluate building and site floor plans and layout. |
Study interior design, architecture and landscape elements that can be incorporated as wayfinding components. |
Meet with key personnel to discuss specific concerns people who know the problems - people who actually use the space. |
Develop numbering systems. And color codes for orientation purposes. |
Propose circulation patterns and wayfinding strategies. |
