STATE GOVERNMENT

Case Study
Virginia Department for the Visually Handicapped

This state facility has an open campus that houses two agencies. The buildings are used for administrative offices, patient housing and educational space. With one vehicular entrance guiding visitors, students, employees and delivery personnel, clear wayfinding and signage was crucial.

The main directory incorporates a color-coded system that cross-references a map of campus buildings with the directional arrows. Exterior lighting and reflective paints enhanced the system for nighttime visitors.
